“Port Victoria is known as the last of the Windjammer ports. For over 70 years grain was loaded onto magnificent ships bound for Europe via Cape Horne. The area is a paradise for anglers and scuba divers, with eight shipwrecks around Wardang Island forming a diving trail. A geology trail showcases its volcanic beginnings.”
Apart from its history, the Port Victoria area is noted for its stunning beaches, crystal waters and fantastic fishing from beach, jetty or boat. The famed King George Whiting are plentiful with Snapper and other varieties further offshore.
